Criminal Records: An L.I. native with style, charm and an upcoming EP

april 1April Rose Gabrielli is a New York-based rock musician, performer and manager.

In 2015, she was recognized by Variety Magazine as one of 110 Students to Watch in the entertainment industry and has an extensive list of releases, projects and performances planned for 2016.

April has a background in theater and is the House Manager at Blue Man Group at the Ascot Theater.

Her love of the theater and music go back to her musical family. Her mother, who was also in a band, taught her to play the piano. April shares the stage with her brothers in the alternative rock band The Serotones. April is the lead vocalist and keyboard player.

April and The Serotones performed at the Great South Bay festival last year, between Circa Survive and Taking Back Sunday — tough acts to lead and follow. Yet the crowd responded to her performance with an enthusiastic roar.

April found her calling, and her passion. “I want to do this,” she muses.

Currently, April is in the midst of finishing her first solo project, called The Haunt: an ambient, dark-pop, concept EP driven by rock vocals and bold supporting harmonies (Produced by Joe Wood).

I had the opportunity to listen to a taste of her upcoming EP. The Ambient groove and dark mood combined with April’s incredible vocals create another musical treat that will soon be unleashed.

The Haunt will be released next month.

I’m often impressed with the dynamic personalities that tend to accompany artists of all stripes. April indeed carries a certain charm and enthusiasm that will guide her musical journey.

She is a firm believer in human connection and community. Like her incredible spirit, her life and music convey a message, one of vulnerability, awareness and being of an open mind.

April Gabrielli, 23, is a Miller Place native. She is always interested in supporting and facilitating new creative work. Below are links to her music and her upcoming performances and releases.
